FULTON, Ill. — Marcile K. Jones, 86, of 417 8th Avenue, Fulton, IL, died Saturday, March 1, 2008, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City, IA. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 6, 2008, at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home. The Rev. Dr. Stanley Bomgarden, pastor of the Fulton Presbyterian Church, will be officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service Thursday, March 6, 2008, at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home. Interment will be in Savanna Township Cemetery, Savanna, IL. Memorials may be made to Order of the Eastern Star. She was born August 19, 1921, in Savanna, IL, to Oran and Elsie (Collier) Ritchie. She attended Savanna, IL, grade schools and graduated from Savanna High School in 1939. She married John C. Jones on May 24, 1941, in Canton, MO. He died July 2, 1999. After high school, she was employed with Northwestern Illinois Utility in Savanna, IL, and later employed with General Electric in Morrison, IL, retiring in 1971. She was a member of the Fulton Presbyterian Church, Fulton, IL. She was a charter member of the Wa-tan-ye club in Fulton, IL, and especially enjoyed clowning with her fellow members. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Merton Chapter number 356 where she held many offices and was a 50-year member. Survivors include many nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her husband, John; one sister, Lois Kroll; and three brothers, Lyle, Wayne and Robert Ritchie.
