CAMANCHE — Ila M. Gorzney, 89, of the Alverno Health Care Facility, Clinton, IA, died Thursday, February 21, 2008, at the Alverno Health Care Facility, Clinton, IA. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, February 25, 2008, at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home. The Rev. Father William Antillon, pastor of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Morrison, IL, will be officiating. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, February 24, 2008, at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home. Interment will be in Grove Hill Cemetery, Morrison, IL.Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation. She was born August 15, 1918, in Thomson, IL, to Wesley and Blanche (Albright) Martindale. She was educated in Thomson Grade School and graduated from Thomson High School, Thomson, IL.She married Arthur B. Gorzney on October 27, 1937, in Morrison, IL. He died April 11, 1972. She was employed by General Electric, Morrison, IL, for over 30 years. Ila enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and the company of her grandchildren. She was a member of the GEM Club. Survivors include one daughter, Sandra Petersen of LaCrosse, WI; two sons, Douglas (Vicki) Gorzney, Cordova, IL, and Roger Gorzney, Clinton, IA; six grandchildren, Jon (Rachael) Peterson, David Petersen and friend, Barb Frahm; Jolene (Chad) Comer, Aaron Gorzney, Tara (Cory) Luther, Tyler Gorzney; and ten great-grandchildren.
