CLINTON — Eleanor Mussmann, 86, of Clinton, died Tuesday, February 19, 2008, at Bluff Terrace Nursing Home, Clinton. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 22, 2008, at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory with Connie Beck officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Raymond Scott Mussmann, John Meyers, Richard Meyers, Wayne Newberry, Sam Seidell, and Joe Mussmann. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. to the service time Friday at the funeral home. Frances Eleanor Mussmann was born on September 6, 1921, in Elwood City, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Christopher and Jessie (Phenicie) Haswell. She married Martin Mussmann Sr. on February 24, 1942, in Kahoka, Missouri; he died August 23, 1984. Eleanor was a housekeeper for many Clinton families for 69 years. She devoted her entire life to her children. Eleanor is survived by three sons, Richard (Barbara) Printy of Geneseo, Illinois, Terry Wells of Houston, Texas, and Martin (Sally) Mussmann Jr. of Fulton, Illinois; four daughters, Marcia (Ken) Yohe of Pahrump, Nevada, Sallie Dodd of Knoxville, Illinois, Mary (Ray) Newberry of Clinton, Iowa, and Anna (Jim) Mullen of Cadiz, Kentucky; 24 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren; one sister, Margaret Kish of Stevens Point, Wisconsin. Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and nine sisters. The family requests that memorials be made to the family.
