The Clinton Herald Wednesday October 5, 1983 p. 20 Mass of the Christian Burial will be at 10:30 Thursday in St. Mary's Catholic Church for Clarence A. Banker, 84, of 1211 14th Ave. S. He died Tuesday in his home. The Rev. Thomas Doyle will officiate. A prayer service will precede the Mass at 10 a.m. in Schimitz Funeral Home. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. Visitation wil be from 3 to 9 p.m. today with a parish rosary at 4 p.m. Pallbearers will be Gene Ottens, Ragnor Lundquist, Gene Ladehoff, Lorrin Smith, John Banker III and Robert Walker. He was born Sept. 4, 1899, in Clinton, to John M. and Josephine New Banker. He married Edna Ladehoff July 3, 1926, in Clinton. For 49 years, he was a glazer at Curtis Company. He was a member of Carpenters Union Local 772 and St. Mary's Catholic Church and was a lifetime resident of Clinton. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Brenton (Janet) Baugh of Clinton; a son, C. Arnold of Camanche; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Rose Edens, Bernadette Banker, Mrs. Leona Collins and Mrs. Mariann Langley, all of Anaheim, Calif.; and four brothers, Ray and John of Clinton, Robert of St. Louis and Joe of Anaheim, Calif. He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
