The Clinton Herald Saturday February 6, 1971 p. 10 Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Snyder-Schmitz funeral home for Gerald W. Sivertsen, 57, of 1316 Harrison Dr., who died today in Jane Lamb Hospital. Burial will be in Clinton Memorial Park cemetery. The Rev. E.J. Weeg of Sacred Heart Church will officiate. Pallbearers will be Alvin Paysen, Vernon Cady, David Hull, Dean Malone, Marion Judge and Laverne Palmer. Visitation begins after 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Mr. Sivertsen was born Jan. 31, 1914 in Lyons, the son of Harold and Elizabeth Waldorf Sivertsen. On March 17, 1944, he married Leona F. Wilden in Clinton. She died in 1963. He was employed as a foreman in the utilities division at Clinton Corn Processing Co. and was a member of the 25-year Club. Surviving him are three sons, Steven of Clinton, Gary in the Navy at San Diego, Calif., and David, at home; two grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Clyde (Virginia) Nelson of Clinton, Mrs. Carter (Jeanette) Crouse of Low Moor and Mrs. Lorraine Krogus of Davenport and one brother, Robert, of Clinton. He was preceded in death by his wife and five brothers.
