The Clinton Herald Thursday August 4, 1955 p. 13 Mrs. James Mangan Sr., 72, of rout 2, DeWitt, died at 9 p.m. Wednesday in DeWitt Community hospital. Friends may call after 6 tonight at the Hanrahan funeral home, where the rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Friday by Rev. James Quinlan, Villa Nova pastor. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday in St. Patrick's Catholic church, Villa Nova, northwest of DeWitt. Fr. Quinlan will officiate. Burial will be in St. Patrick's cemetery. The former Margaret Ann Costello was born June 23, 1883, to the late Thomas and Emma Hamilton Costello. She spent her lifetime there. In December, 1901, she was married to James Mangan Sr. Surviving are the husband; four sons, Joseph R., James Jr. and Quinn of DeWitt, Peter Francis of Chicago; two daughters, Mrs. Loran (Mae) Kedley, Miles, and Miss Marcella Mangan, Chicago; 13 grandchildren; two brothers, Leo and John of Long Grove, and one sister, Mrs. Ella McDonnell, Clinton. One son, Tibertius, preceded her in death.
