The Clinton Herald Tuesday September 23, 1980 p. 11 The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Zion Lutheran Church for Paul Ingwersen, 91, of 44 4th Ave. N., who died Monday in Jane Lamb Hospital. The Rev. Peter Andersen will officiate. Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in Snell-Zornig Funeral Home, Clinton, with a Masonic Rose Croix served will be conducted at 7 p.m. Wednesday by Sam McKendrick. Pallbearers will be John and Jim Lauritzen, David Schroeder, Rand Papke, Mark Naeve and Marvin Nissen. He was born Aug. 8, 1889, in Clinton, to Martin and Marie Carstensen Ingwersen. He married Cecelia Nissen Dec. 29, 1920, in Clinton. He was a life-long resident of Clinton and World War I veteran. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, American Legion, Disabled American Veterans and Kaaba Shrine, and a 50-year member of Turner's Society, Keystone Chapter of Royal Arch Masons, Emulation Lodge No. 255 and Clinton Consistory, serving as treasurer from 1961 to 1972. He was a 32nd degree Knight Commander Court of Honor. Survivors include a son, Glenn of Atlanta, Ga.; two daughters, Mrs. Jack (Jean) Lauritzen of Clinton and Mrs. Ken (Betty) Slach of West Branch, Iowa; a half sister, Mrs. Robert (Frieda) Wood of Fort Meyers, Fla.; 14 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, five sisters and a brother.
