The Clinton Herald Monday April 20, 1998 p. 9 Winifred H. "Winnie" Ohsann, 97, died Saturday in the home of her niece, Sally Espey, 1007 Eighth Ave. North. A Liturgy Outside the Mass will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Cannon Funeral Home with the Rev. Marty Goetz of Prince of Peace Parish officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home, where a Prince of Peace scripture service will be at 7 p.m. Following the scripture service, a rosary will be recited. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Clinton. Pallbearers are grandnephews: David, Thomas, Albert B., Michael and William Espey. Honorary pallbearers are Michael Brisch and David Goetzl. She was born Jan. 31, 1901, in Lyons, to William Henry and Ellen Elizabeth Cawley Ohsann. She attended Lyons public schools. She was employed for 42 years with the Chicago Northwestern Transportation Co. as a records clerk. She belonged to the T.C.U. Union for 80 years. She was a member of Prince of Peace Parish, the Ladies Auxiliary and the Catholic Order of Foresters. Survivors include a sister, Catherine Sloppy of Clinton; two nieces, including Sally Espey, with whom she made her home, two nephews, and several grandnephews. She was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters. Death date: April 18, 1998.
