The Clinton Advertiser Wednesday July 14, 1926 p. 6 Arthur Burrill, for 30 years an esteemed resident of Clinton, passed away at 5:30 o'clock this morning at Jane Lamb hospital. Mr. Burrill, who had been in good health, attended a ball game at River Front park Monday afternoon. While he was putting his car away at his residence, 719 North Second street, he suffered a stroke. Relatives found him unconscious and hurried him to Jane Lamb hospital. He never again regained consciousness. Mr. Burrill was an employee of the Iten Biscuit company for several years, but of recent years had been retired from active business. He was born in Rock Island on August 18, 1859, and on June 24, 1891, was united in marriage with Miss Elizabeth Iten. To this union two daughters were born, who with his wife, survive him. The daughters are Mrs. Clyde Magee and Mrs. Arthur Nielsen. The decedent also leaves two sister, Mrs. Fred Grotegut and Mrs. V. Diesenroth, both of Rock Island, and two brothers, Edward of Shreveport, La., and William of New York city. One grandchild also survives. Mr. Burrill was a member of the Modern Woodmen of America. Mr. Burrill leaves a wide circle of friends in Clinton and vicinity, to mourn his loss. Funeral services will be held at the home Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock.
