The Clinton Herald Tuesday December 21, 1937 p. 5 Mrs. A.H. Clausen, 546 Fourth avenue, South, died at 11 o'clock Monday evening in her home following an illness of several months' duration. Funeral arrangements have not been completed other than services will be held in Snell's funeral home, probably Thursday afternoon. The body will be taken to the late home Wednesday afternoon and will be returned to the funeral home for services. Nelle Ott was born Feb. 26, 1865, in Geneva, Ill., the daughter of Emily and Charles Ott. She was united in marriage in 1884 to A.H. Clausen, in Clinton. Mr. Clausen died in 1930. She was a member of Clinton chapter, 65, O.E.S., Star of Hope Rebekah lodge, 13, and the First Baptist church. Surviving are a son, Charles A. Clausen, a daughter, Mrs. LeNoir C. James and a grandson, Ralph E. James, all of Chicago, two sister Mrs. W.B. Henyon, Clinton, and Mrs. L.S. Henyon, Enid, Okla., and two brothers, Charles Ott and Walter Ott, both of Clinton.
