The Clinton Herald Friday October 6, 1933 p. 5 Al Allison died last evening in Mercy hospital after a short illness. The body has been removed to the Bragonier chapel where friends may call between 7 and 9 o'clock this evening, and where the funeral will be held at 3 o'clock tomorrow afternoon. Burial will be in Springdale cemetery. Mr. Allison was born in Stavanger, Norway, Feb. 5, 1859 and came to Clinton in 1870. He was married to Miss Mary Olson in the year 1884. Seven children were born to them. Left to mourn are his widow, sons and daughters, Clarence, Alma and Don of Clinton, Mrs. C.C. Breen of Whiting, Ind., and Alvin of Davenport. Two daughters, Mabel and Esther, preceded the father in death. There are also two brothers, Ed and John Allison of Clinton, and three grandchildren, David Breen and Eleanor and Ann Allison.
