The Clinton Herald Thursday May 2, 1968 p. 31 Mrs. Louine M. Gerke, 57, of 960 S. 18th St. died Wednesday night in Jane Lamb hospital after a long illness. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm. Saturday in Bragonier-Fay funeral home, where friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. Rev. Harold Putney, pastor of First Congregational church, will officiate. Burial will be in Clinton Memorial Park. Louine Morris was born Oct. 16, 1910, in Toluca, Ill., the daughter of Emil and Georgia Moffett Morris. A resident of Clinton for 47 years, she was a 1932 graduate of Grinnell college. She was married to Fred Gerke, April 6, 1939. Mrs. Gerke was a member of First Congregational church and its Mayflower circle. Surviving are two daughters, Elizabeth of Clinton and Mrs. Robert (Georgia) Onken of San Diego, Calif., and one grandson. Her parents preceded her in death.
