SPOKANE, Wash. — AUDE, Roger B. (age 61) entered into rest Sunday, February 3, 2008, in his home in Spokane, Washington. He was born February 22, 1946, in Clinton, Iowa, to Marvin and Eiline Aude. Roger graduated from Clinton High School in 1964 and earned a bachelor’s degree from Wartburg College in 1969. Shortly after graduation, he joined the U.S. Air Force. Roger served his county for 20 years attaining the rank of captain before retiring from the Air Force. After retiring in 1989, he entered graduate studies at Eastern Washington University where he was active with the local chapter of the Association of Computing Machinery (ACM). He loved to travel and take long road trips around the western United States. He enjoyed snow skiing, camping and helping others any chance he got. Roger is survived by his sons, Charles and Scott Aude; his mother, Eiline Aude; his sister, Lynn Scanlin; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 10 years, Christine (Deming) Aude, and his father, Marvin Aude. A memorial service was held at 2:00 PM Monday, February 11, 2008, at Riplinger Funeral Home 4305 N. Division St. Spokane, WA 99207.Death date: Feb. 3, 2008
