He married Eleanor J. Morse on February 8, 1945, in Clinton. Henry was a veteran of the United States Army serving in World War II from 1942-1946. Henry was employed with Sanitary Dairy as a cottage cheese maker for over 20 years retiring in 1976. He also worked at the Fulton River Terminal. Henry attended the Evangelical Free Church. He loved his garden and feeding his birds. His ability to be a great neighbor brought many friends. His noticeable big hands told his story — hardworking, devoted and full of great love for his family. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Our family chain is broken and nothing seems the same, but as God calls us one by one the chain will link again. He will be sadly missed by all. Henry is survived by his wife, Eleanor; two sons, Paul (Shirley) Troutman of Clinton and Robert (Linda) Troutman of Clinton; two daughters, Norma (Tom) Jones of Fulton and Shirley (Richard) Carpenter of Morrison; 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; and one sister-in-law, Ella Ross of Des Moines, Iowa.
