The Clinton Herald Tuesday January 31, 1922 p. 10 Funeral services for Mrs. Johannes Greve were held Sunday afternoon at the family home, one mile west of Teeds Grove. The Rev. Mr. Sundrock of the Preston Lutheran church officiating. Catherine Eggers was the oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jurgen Eggers and was born in Elk River township, Clinton county, September 10, 1872. In 1891 she was married to Johannes Greve and they started farming on the farm which proved to be the place of her death. To them were born ten children, all of whom survive except Vernon, the youngest son, who passed away a few years ago. The family lived in Teeds Grove a few years, and just moved back to the farm a few months ago, where they had built a new home. The cause of her death was hemorrhages due to ulcers of the stomach. An unusually large number of friends gathered at the home to pay a last mark of respect to the departed. The casket was attended by Henry Harmsen, Herman Peterson, Chas. Jargo, Frank Grimm, Marcus Haas and Chris Mohr. Ethel Rogers, Marie Frahm, Gladys Meyer and Grace Tietjens were flower girls. Burial was made in Andover cemetery.
