CLINTON — Penny R. Stumbaugh, age 65, of Clinton, died Friday Jan. 25, 2008, at Mercy North Medical Center in Clinton. Funeral services will be held Tuesday 7:00 p.m. at the Pape Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Tuesday 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Following the funeral service, cremation rites will take place. Memorials may be given to Mercy Hospice. Penny was born on Sept. 10, 1942, in Clinton, IA, the daughter of O.E. “Toad” and Helen (Johannsen) Martensen. She graduated from Clinton High School in 1960. She married Stephen Stumbaugh on Sept. 3, 1960, in Sterling, IL. Penny was a homemaker and enjoyed bowling, card playing and fishing. She was a former member of the Clinton Eagles Club and the Odeon Club. Penny is survived by her husband, Stephen Stumbaugh; three daughters, Lori (Dennis Huss) Hinsch of LaMotte, IA, Stephanie West and Stacy (James) Evers, both of Clinton; a son, Jason (Leslie) Stumbaugh of Clinton; her father, Toad Martensen of Clinton; eight grandchildren, Laurisa, Chelse, Kendra, Matt, Hannah, Aaron, Garrett, and Kaitlyn; and a brother, Doug Martensen of Nokomis, FL. She was preceded in death by her mother in 1989.Death date: Jan. 25, 2008
