DEWITT — Mrs. Jane Crone Munck, 84, of rural DeWitt, died Wednesday evening, January 23, 2008, at Mercy Medical Center, Clinton.Mrs. Munck was born near Camanche, Iowa, to Archie and Blanche (Ballard) Crone on December 4, 1923. She attended rural schools and graduated from Clinton High School in 1941. She married Louis D. Munck on November 20, 1942, in Clinton, Iowa. They farmed at Camanche and rural Clinton, moving to rural DeWitt in 1949 where they retired and resided. Over a half century of Jane’s life was spent on the family farm in the Elvira area.Jane was baptized and later a confirmed member for over 50 years at Elvira Zion Lutheran Church, a member of Naomi Circle and a lifetime member of the Four Leaf Clover Club that was devoted to homeless children. She was a loving mother and grandmother to everyone she met.Jane devoted her life to her family; sons, Gary (Janet), Camanche, Larry D. (Sherri), Camanche, Jeff Munck, Phoenix, AZ, and Greg A. (Charlene), Elvira; son-in-law, Dan Donahue, Grand Mound; daughters, Marie Perry, Clinton, Lonnie (Ronald) Fell, Louisville, KY, Judy (Thomas) Olson, Calamus, Jolee Witt, Clinton, Gay (John) Smith, Council Bluffs, Laurie (Steve) Guidebeck, Clinton and Nancy (Paul) Burke, Clinton. Also grandchildren, Todd, Kevin and Curt Munck and Jeannine Essex, Scott and Joe Perry, Stacy DeShazier and Lisa Wheat, Thomas and Brian Fell, Angela Clark, Andrea Olson and Matthew Olson, Evan L. Witt, Ryan and Alex Smith, Kelli and Paige Guidebeck, Blake and Wesley Munck and Kyle and Keri Donahue; thirteen great-grandchildren; also two nieces and one nephew, Cheryl Putman, Roberta Schroeder, Daryl Munck; and sister-in-law, Clarnelle Munck.She was preceded in death by her parents, devoted husband and her loving daughter, Patricia Donahue.There will be no visitation. Private family service of Christian burial at Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt. The Rev. Bill Mickelsen officiating. Interment at Elvira Cemetery.Condolences may be expressed at www.schultzfuneralhomes.com.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Elvira Zion Lutheran Church, Make-A-Wish Foundation or the Ronald McDonald House of Iowa City.Death date: Jan. 23, 2008
