CAMANCHE — Calvin C. Ocker, 77, of Camanche, Iowa, died Saturday, January 19, 2008, at his home. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 25, 2008, at the Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will be in the Rock Island (Ill.) Arsenal National Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Cal is survived by his wife, Ruth, of Camanche; three daughters, Margaret “Peggy” (John) Tynan of Kissamee, Florida, Joleen “Bergie” (Burl) Anderson of Silvis, Illinois, and Cindy (Ed) Bang of Bennett, Colorado; one son, Charlie (Shelley) Ocker of Sycamore, Illinois; 12 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; three sisters, Betty Lou (Earl) Burgett of Port Townsend, Washington, Wilma Moses of Billings, Montana, and Arliss (Don) Engstrom of Great Falls, Montana. The family requests that in lieu of flowers that memorials be made to the family.
