Rogis, Marilyn Vae View/Sign Guest Book

CLINTON — Marilyn Vae Rogis, age 68, of rural Clinton, passed away Thursday, January 10, 2008 at Mercy Medical Center North in Clinton. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, January 14th at the Pape Funeral Home in Clinton with the Rev. Wayne Brinkmann officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Casketbearers will be Jeff Rogis, Todd Rogis, Rhonda Lorenzen, Renee Behr, Ryan Rogis, Shawn Rogis and David Dohrn. Marilyn was born on February 27, 1939 in Clinton the daughter of Alfred and Carrie Hendes Grell. She graduated from Clinton High School in 1957. Marilyn married Billy Lee Rogis on March 19, 1960 in Clinton. Marilyn was a homemaker and was employed as a cook at the Northeast Elementary School in Goose Lake. She enjoyed baby sitting children, the gambling boat, bowling, bingo and horse racing. Marilyn is survived by her husband Billy; her children, Jeffery Rogis, Todd Rogis, Rhonda (Paul) Lorenzen, Renee (Brian) Behr, Ryan Rogis and Shawn Rogis; nine grandchildren, three step grandchildren, two step great grandchildren; her mother-in-law, Audrey Rogis; her brothers and sisters, Alfred (Donita) Grell, Jan Schumacher, Robert (Irene) Grell, Jackie (Fred) Mussmann, Jim (Marcia) Grell, Linda (Dave) Vogel, Steve (Diane) Grell, Connie Jetter, Roger (Joan) Grell and Dave (Betty) Grell; an aunt, Gladys Voelkers and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Joan Junker and Kathy Snodgrass and a brother, Harold Grell. Death date: Jan. 10, 2008
