CLINTON — Bruce K. Lange, age 86, of Clinton, died Sunday Jan. 6, 2008, at Mercy North Medical Center. Funeral services will be held Thursday 10:30 a.m. at the Pape Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Wednesday 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home where a 6:30 p.m. prayer service will be conducted. Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery where the Clinton AMVETS will conduct military honors. Pallbearers will be Charles Sattler, Steve Powell, Robert Dunford, Todd Dunford, David Bengtson, Mark Petersen. Honorary pallbearer will be Frank Honeywell. Memorials may be given to the Sarah Harding Home. Bruce was born on April 29, 1921, in Edina, MO, the son of Edwin and Martha (Ostert) Lange. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII from 1941 to 1943. He married Dolores Lord on May 4, 1943, in Alexander, LA; she died in 1994. He owned and operated Bruce Lange Plumbing and Heating in Clinton for over 30 years, retiring in 1980. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Clinton American Legion and was an active bird watcher. Bruce is survived by his daughters, Mrs. Sharon (Charles) Sattler of Davenport, IA, Mrs. Linda (Steve) Powell of Dyersburg, TN, and Mrs. Mary Ellen (Robert) Dunford of Hiawatha, IA; five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and a great-great grandson; a sister, Helen Ware of Grunde Center, IA; and a brother, Eddie Lange of Hemmitt, CA. Death date: Jan. 6, 2008
