PROPHETSTOWN, Ill. — Ronald L. Bolt, 61, died Wednesday January 2, 2008, at Mercy Hospital in Clinton. Mr. Bolt was born on October 11, 1946, in Morrison, IL, the son of Marvin J. and Laura (Woodward) Bolt. Ron served in the U.S. Navy. He married Kay Reul on June 10, 1978, in Morrison. Ron was employed for 32 years in maintenance with General Electric in Morrison retiring in 2001. He was an avid hunter, member of the Prophetstown Country Club, Prophetstown American Legion. Surviving is his wife, Kay of Prophetstown; one stepson, Michael Reul of Prophetstown; two sisters, Vicki Stingley of Prophetstown and Diane (Bob) Corwell of Sterling; four nieces, Amy Stingley of San Diego, Calif., Allison Stingley of Chicago, IL, Tiffany (Todd) Purdy of Sterling and Darcy Bielema of DeKalb, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Brandon Bolt. Private graveside services at the Lyndon Cemetery with the Reverend Wesley Dickson, of Coleta United Methodist Church, officiating will be held at a later date. Arrangements were completed by the McDonald Funeral Home and Crematory in Prophetstown. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to the Ronald McDonald House and Make-A-Wish Foundation.
