NEWTON — Edmund “Ed” Kaisand, 80, of Newton, died Thursday, December 27, 2007, at the Skiff Medical Center in Newton. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 3, 2008, at the Wallace Family Funeral Home in Newton. Chaplain Merle Smith, of Skiff Medical Center in Newton, will be officiating. Burial will be in Newton Union Cemetery in Newton. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, January 2, 2008, at the funeral home. Wallace Family Funeral Home, 1115 E. 19th St. N., Newton, IA 50208-2539, is in charge of arrangements. Memorials made in Ed’s name may be left at the funeral home. Survivors include his wife, Addie of Newton; two daughters, Debbie (Mike) Lee of Midland, Texas, and Kathy Wood San Antonio, Texas, formerly of Clinton, Iowa; two grandchildren, Nicole Wood and Adam Wood, both of Clinton, Iowa.Death date: Dec. 27, 2007
