The Clinton Herald Wednesday December 29, 1948 p. 15 Thomas (Nibs) Herrity, a lifelong resident of Clinton, died Tuesday afternoon in his home at 434 Twelfth avenue, South. Death followed a lingering illness. The body is in the Dalton funeral home. Funeral services at 9 a.m. Friday in St. Mary's church. Burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery. Mr. Herrity was a member of St. Mary's church and was a retired bridge carpenter for the Chicago and North Western railroad. He was born Dec. 16, 1862, in Clinton, the son of Thomas and Katherine McFadden Herrity. He married Emma Pierson June 3, 1888. He is survived by his wife; three children, Oliver, Robert and Lulu, all of Clinton; five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son his parents and several brothers and sisters.
