The Clinton Herald Tuesday January 24, 1967 p. 11 Edward T. Harding, 90, co-founder of the Sarah Harding Home for the Aged, died Monday morning in a Washington, D.C. hospital. Funeral services will be held in Washington at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Hines Funeral home. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday in the Sarah Harding Home. Dr. Maurice E. Lesher, pastor of St. Paul Lutheran church and immediate past president of the board will conduct the services. Mr. Harding was born Sept. 17, 1876, in Clinton, the son of Henry H. and Sarah Ann Buckmaster Harding. After graduation from Clinton high school, Mr. Harding moved to Washington. He and his brother, Albert M., were in the paper box and decorative wrapping paper industry until their retirements. The Harding brothers founded the Sarah Harding Home in 1951 in honor of their mother. They have continued to contribute to the home. Surviving are his wife, the former Mary Gillion, and nieces and nephews. His parents, three brothers and one sister preceded him in death.
