CHESAPEAKE, Va. — John William McClimon, 76, passed away Nov. 22, 2007.He was born in Clinton on June 16, 1931, to Frank and Bertilla McClimon.He attended Clinton schools. Mr. McClimon retired from the U.S. Navy and civil service. He was a member of First Baptist of Norfolk and Norfolk Moose Lodge 39.He was predeceased by his wife, Shirley J. McClimon; and is survived by two children, Richard G. McClimon and wife, Joyce, of Bluff City, Tenn., and Karen L. McClimon of Coupeville, Wash.; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Betty Lou Delitt and Mary Therese Hansen, both of Clinton.He also was preceded in death by his father, mother and older brother, Jim.
