CLINTON — Arthur J. (Art) Daurelle, age 81, of Clinton, died Thursday, December 13, 2007, at the Iowa Masonic Home in Bettendorf. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Monday, December 17th at the Pape Funeral Home in Clinton. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Special Care Unit at the Iowa Masonic Home in Bettendorf. Art was born on March 30, 1926, in Minot, North Dakota, the son of Arthur J. and Isabelle O‚Connor Daurelle. Art enlisted in the U.S. Navy at age 16. He served as a radio operator aboard the U.S.S. Estes and the U.S.S. Eldorado in the Pacific Theater. Art was employed at Dairypak in Clinton for 35 years, retiring in 1985. Art coached Little League baseball for many years. He was member of the Board of Directors of the Clinton Baseball Club, Inc. from 1959 to 1963. Art was an avid golfer. He spent many hours of landscaping at both Valley Oaks and Canyon Creek golf courses. He followed his grandkids in all the sports they played. Art is survived by two daughters; Vickie Logan of Long Grove, IA and Kathy (Kevin) Holle of Bettendorf; two sons, Mike Daurelle of Fort Myers Beach, FL and Tom (Alison) Daurelle of Maquoketa, IA; nine grandchildren; Chris, Shaun, Kimi, Tyler, Shelby, Miranda, Shannon, Haleigh and Cassie; two brothers, Bill Daurelle of Indianapolis, IN, and Gordon Daurelle of Ohio and a sister Delores Hook of Ohio. Art was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Barbara Hughes.
