John M. McNulty, 60, of 1114 South Ninth street, died at 10 a.m. Sunday in Mercy hospital, following a week's illness. The body reposes in the home of the daughter, Mrs. George Zaehringer, 2619 North Fourth street, and will be removed at noon Tuesday to the Shadduck funeral home where funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon by the Rev. Frederick E. Schoenbohm of the Elvira Lutheran church. Burial will be in Springdale cemetery.
Mr. McNulty was born Feb. 14, 1878, in Clinton, and lived his entire life here. He and Miss Margaret Hardersen of Clinton were married Nov. 16, 1898. He was employed for many years in the North Western railroad shops, was president of Dewey lodge, Machinists' union, at death, and was a member of Wapsie aerie, 705, F.O.E., and the Royal arcanum, Waterloo.
He leaves his wife, three daughters, Mrs. Glenn Lutz, Miss Eleanore McNulty and Mrs. Zaehringer, all of Clinton; two sons, Leo of Camanche and Clarence at home; three grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Anna Monroe of Clinton. Funeral services for John M. McNulty, 1114 South Ninth street, who died Sunday, were conducted at 2:30 o'clock this afternoon in Shadduck's funeral home. The Rev. Frederick E. Schoenbohm of the Elvira Lutheran church officiated, and burial was in Springdale cemetery.
Pallbearers were Harry Lind, Edward Hansen, Herman Hansen, Edward Rederer, Hugh Scott and Mark Schafer.
