Mrs. Pete Hardersen, formerly of this city, passed away Monday evening at 11:15 o'clock at her home, 1014 North Twelfth avenue, Melrose Park, Ill., following a lingering illness. The body will be brought back to Clinton for burial, and will be taken to the home of her sister, Mrs. Martin Hardersen, 835 Eleventh avenue South. Funeral services will be held.
Mary Jurgensen was born in Clinton, January 31, 1879, and was forty-nine year of age at the time of her demise. She was a daughter of Mrs. Fredrika Jurgensen of Clinton and the late Magnus Jurgensen. Her first marriage was to George Wilson, who preseded her in death fourteeen years ago. October 2, 1919, she was united in marriage with Pete Hardersen, and they have resided in Melrose Park the past five years.
Besides her husband, she is survived by the following children; Mrs. Fred Utroska, of Elmhurst, Ill.; Mrs. Joseph Carey, of Berwyn, Ill.; George Wilson; Peter and Mary Jane Hardersen, of Melrose Park, Ill; her aged mother, Mrs. Fredericka Jurgensen, of Clinton; three brothers, Magnus Jurgensen of Lyons; Anton and John Jurgensen, of Clinton and three sisters, Mrs. John Zornig, of Rhame, N.D.; Mrs. Martin Hendersen[sic] and Mrs. Claus Weinbeck, of Clinton.
Mrs. Hardersen was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, White Shrine, Royal Neighbors and Rebekahs of Melrose Park, Ill.
