The Clinton Herald Monday October 3, 1927 p. 6 Hans C. Jepsen, 327 Sixth avenue, North, died at his home at 12:05 o'clock today following an illness of three weeks with complications. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock with the Rev. George W. Krueger of the Zion Lutheran church officiating at the home. Burial will be in the Ingwersen cemetery. The decedent was born in Leck, Schleswigt-Holstein, Germany, January 21, 1852 and came to the United States at the age of 20 years. After four years spent in Chicago he came to Clinton county making hishome at the Six-mile house where he followed the trade of carpenter. He was married in 1880 to Miss Margaretha Roenfeldt. To them one daughter was born, Mrs. Emil Dierks who remains to comfort her mother. There are also two brothers, Fred and Chris Jepsen of this city and one sister, Mrs. Nels Hjelm of Julesburg, Colorado.
