The Clinton Herald Friday April 17, 1908 p. 1 Mrs. Anna Elizabeth Jannsen, wife of William Jannsen, of 141 Third avenue died this morning between 6-- and 6-- o'clock as the result of a complication of diseases from which she had been suffering for only two days. The deceased woman would have been sixty-five years old on October 10th next, had she lived. She had been a resident of Clinton since 1870 and had lived life of sweetness and goodness that won her many friends. The deceased woman was born in Schleswig, Germany and came to this country in 1870, coming immediately to Clinton. In 1872 she was married to William Jannsen, who survives her. Four children, three daughters and one son, also survive her. They are the Misses Edith, Betty and Anna Jannesn, residing in Clinton, and William Jannsen residing in Chicago. Two sisters, Mrs. Johanna Hansen and Mrs. Ingeborg Feddersen, both of this city also survive. Mrs. Jannsen had a large number of friends in this city to whom her death will bring sorrow, especially so in view of its suddenness. No funeral arrangements have been made.
