The Clinton Herald Saturday September 10, 1960 p. 9 A requiem high mass will be celebrated in St. Irenaeus church at 9:30 a.m. Monday for August P. Determann, 85, of route 2, Clinton, who died yesterday. Rev. E.J. O'Hair will officiate. Burial will be in St. Irenaeus Calvary cemetery. The body is in the Pape funeral home where friends may call after 7 p.m. today. The Holy Name society will recite the rosary at 8 p.m. today. St. Irenaeus parish rosary will be said at 8 p.m. Sunday. August P. Determann was born Feb. 11, 1875 in Clinton, the son of Henry and Carolyn Droste Determann. He was married to Christina Manning on Feb. 5, 1901, in St. Boniface church. He was a member of St. Irenaeus parish. Survivors include five sons, Leander and Philip of Clinton, Sylvester of Bryant, Andrew of Camanche and Al, whose residence is unknown; three daughters, Mrs. Lyle (Marcella) Hammond, Mrs. Eugene (Adeline) Ladehoff and Mrs. Jack (Helen) Dahl, all of Clinton; 32 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. August (Dena)Berding of Clinton; one brother, Louis Determann of Clinton; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, one son, three sisters and two brothers.
