The Clinton Herald Tuesday March 15, 1904 p. 6 John Greve, on old resident of Hampshire township, passed away yesterday afternoon at his home, the infirmities incident to old age being the cause. The deceased was born in Germany 82 years ago. He came to America in 1865 and shortly after moved to Clinton county where he has resided ever since. He is survivied by two sons, John F. and Claus W., and two daughters, Mrs. John Lindmeier of this city, and Mrs. Peter Schmidt of West Pullman, Ill. The funeral will be held from the late home in Hampshire township Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock, followed by interment at Dierk's cemetery.
