Lucille Marie Flynn
(April 2, 1925 - December 1, 2007)

Mrs. Lucille Flynn, 82, DeWitt, died Saturday morning, December 1, 2007 at home.
Mrs. Flynn was born Lucille Marie Ihrig, April 2, 1925 in Maquoketa, Iowa, to Frederick and Mabel (Marburger) Ihrig. Lucille married Lawrence Flynn August 7, 1946 and was a homemaker for her family. Lawrence preceded Lucille in death November 7, 1980.

Lucy was an avid bowler and loved BINGO. She loved a good prank and the first person she caught on April Fools day should watch out.

Surviving are her children, Connie (John) Justice, Rock Island, Ronald (Gloria) Flynn, DeWitt, Suzanne McCutcheon and Rita Roberts, Bettendorf, and Joe (Kathy) Flynn, DeWitt;19 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Dale (Doris) Ihrig, Maquoketa; a sister, Elneta Kennedy, Delmar; a sister-in-law, Nonie Ihrig, Maquoketa; brothers-in-law, Elmer Flynn, Dubuque, Tom (Eleanore) Flynn, Aurora, Colorado, and Edward Roehlk, Bettendorf, an aunt, Myrtle Ihrig, Iron Hill; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

In addition to her husband, Lucille was preceded in death by her parents, sons-in-law, Jack McCutcheon and Gerald “Lee” Roberts, a brother, Paul Ihrig, a sister, Mildred DeMoss and a grandson, E.T.

Family and friends may visit at Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt, from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. Monday, December 3, 2007 with a Vigil Service at 7:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 4, 2007 in the Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Fr. H. Robert Harness will preside. Burial will follow at St. Patrick Cemetery, Big Rock.

Pallbearers will be Todd Flynn, John Justice, Jr., Jack McCutcheon, Jr., Joshua Roberts, Joey Flynn and Tony Atkinson. Honorary pallbearers will be Chad Flynn, Brian Flynn, Brett Flynn, Alex Flynn and Terry Roberts.
