The Clinton Herald Thursday March 21, 1918 p. 6 Solemn High Mass was held this morning at St. Mary's church at 9 o'clock for William O'Connell and was celebrated by Monsignor E.J. McLaughlin. Mrs. William Boyle sand "Ave Maria" by Buck and "Calvary." Rev. Frs. Coleman and Kissane assisted in the sanctuary. Burial was made in St. Mary's cemetery, the following acting as pall-bearers: J.L. McCarthy, J.F. Ryan, John Logan, James Scanlan, William Welsh, and Peter Scanlan.
