The Clinton Herald Tuesday June 14, 1994 Sarah A. Marquis, 88, of 308 S. Bluff Blvd., died Monday at Samaritan North. The funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Grace Episcopal Church with the Rev. John I. Kilby officiating. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Pape Funeral Home. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. Miss Marquis was born March 6, 1906, in Clinton, to Guy and Clara Beers Marquis. She graduated from Lyons High School and was a member of the Wa-tan-ye Club. She worked as a secretary for the Lyons and Clinton School districts for over 40 years, retiring in 1971. She was a member of the Grace Episcopal Church and the St. Faiths Guild. Survivors include a niece, a cousin, David M. Smith of Camanche; and a brother-in-law, Glen Wonders of Clinton. She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister. Death date: June 13, 1994
