Mrs. Mary M. Gade of Low Moor died at 10 a.m. today in her home there. The body is in the McGinnis Funeral Home, DeWitt, where friends may call beginning at 2:30 p.m. Thursday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 2 p.m. Friday, with the Rev. Kenneth Franzen of the Elvira Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Grand Mound. Mary Magdelene Schramm, daughter of John and Marie Schramm, was born April 14, 1868 in Grisbohn, Germany. She was educated in German schools and came to this country at the age of 20 years. She married Malte Gade on Nov. 7, 1888 and he died on Aug. 29, 1917. Surviving are four sons, Alfred, Otto, and Ben of Low Moor and Ed of Clinton; three daughters, Mrs. William Goers of Clinton, Mrs. Clara Petersen of DeWitt and Emma at home; 15 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two brothers and four sisters.
