GREEN ISLAND — Clifford D. “Red” Daniels, 78, of Green Island, Iowa, died Friday, November 30, 2007, at Jackson County Regional Health Center, Maquoketa, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. A celebration of his life will be held on Tuesday, December 4, 2007, at 10:30 a.m. at the First Congregational Church in Green Island with Rev. Iola McCutcheon officiating. Burial will be in the Reeseville Cemetery, Green Island, Iowa. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday at Lahey Funeral Home in Maquoketa. Clifford Dwain Daniels was born on January 17, 1929 to Leslie and Mavis (Baker) Daniels. He was educated in rural Jackson County schools and he served in the National Guard. He married Glenda Krabbenhoft on June 18, 1955 in Bellevue, Iowa. She died on December 25, 1997. He later married Gloria Kaufman on July 23, 2005, in Nashua, Iowa. He worked for the railroad, Central Steel Manufacturing and was a life-long farmer. He was a member of the First Congregational Church. He enjoyed dancing, playing cards and being with his family. He is survived by his wife, Gloria Kaufman, of Green Island; 2 daughters, Joni (Jeff) Lucas, of Bankston, Iowa, and Juli (Troy) Stinson of Cottage Grove, Wisconsin; 5 grandchildren, Jacob and Nathan Lucas, Zach, Kelsey and Isaac Stinson; 5 sisters, Marilyn Williams and Beverly (Robert) Wylie, both of Maquoketa, Doris (Arnie) Behn, of Sabula, Myrna (Darrell) Kaczinski, of Delmar and Judy (Dale) Pataska, of Green Island; 4 brothers, Milton (Marion) Daniels of Preston, Arlo (LouAnn) Daniels, of Green Island, Jerry (Bonnie) Daniels and Dale (Gayle) Daniels, both of Miles; 2 sisters-in-law, Arlene Daniels, of Green Island and Emilie Daniels of Maquoketa; and a brother-in-law, Louis (Natalie) Krabbenhoft of Florida. He was preceded in death by his first wife, infant son, Scott Allen, his parents, 2 sisters and 3 brothers. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.laheys.com.Death date: Nov. 30, 2007
