LAKE GENEVA, Wis. — Joseph F. “Joe” Waldorf, 73, of Lake Geneva, WI, died Sunday, November 18, 2007, at Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital in Oconomowoc, WI. He was born December 10, 1933, in Clinton, Iowa, the son of the late Francis and Margaret Krava Waldorf. He graduated from Lyons High School in Clinton, IA, in 1951, and then from Iowa State University with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering in 1955. On August 13, 1955, in Clinton, IA, he was united in marriage to the former Judy Markley. He had been employed as an electrical engineer for Cutler Hammer Company in Milwaukee, which became the Eaton Company for many years. He was then employed by the Square D Company. He also taught at MATC in Milwaukee for several years. He was a member of the A.I.E.E. and was a registered professional engineer with the state of Wisconsin. He was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Lake Geneva. Joe is survived by his wife of 52 years, Judy; three children, Michael (Carol) Waldorf of Sussex, WI, Richard (Susan) Waldorf of Oconomowoc, WI, and Cathy (Stephn) Ahlgren of Lake Geneva, WI; six grandchildren, Timothy, Daniel, Kimberley, Ryan, Joseph and Jamie; and a brother, Robert (Ethel) Waldorf of Clinton, IA. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Stephanie Ahlgren.In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorials are requested in Joe’s name to St. Francis de Sales Interior Beautification Fund. Haase-Derrick-Lockwood Funeral Home in Lake Geneva assisted the Waldorf family with arrangements.Death date: Nov. 18, 2007
