CLINTON — Martha “Marty” C. McClurg, 29, of Clinton, died Friday, November 23, 2007, at Mercy Medical Center, North Campus. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, November 29, 2007, at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home with Pastor Scott Bonestroo officiating. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Don McKinley, Aaron Lufkin, Sherry Julian, Scott Gregory, Larry Stauffer Jr. and Brent Replogle. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Brad Cooper and Solomon Stratt. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Martha Caroline McClurg was born December 2, 1977, in Iowa City, Iowa, the daughter of Donald Ray Turner and Christine Lucille Schomer. She was currently employed with Blackhawk Foundry in Davenport, Iowa. She is survived by two daughters, Kylie Terron Dean Harding of Clinton and Jalyn Cooper of Clinton, and two sons, Larry Stauffer III of Clinton and Dylan Lucina of Thomson; her mother, Chris McClurg-Rice of Thomson; three brothers, Michael J. (Chris) Todd of Morrison, Gordon D. McClurg Jr. of Clinton, Raymond T. DeMarr of Thomson; one sister, Virginia McClurg of Fulton, IL; a half brother, Kerry Turner of New Castle, Indiana; a half sister, Kimberly Turner of New Castle, Indiana; and stepmother, Marsha Turner of Anderson, Indiana; and her grandmother, Martha Hite of Indiana. She is preceded in death by her father, her fiancé, David Schmidt, and her maternal grandparents. Memorials can be made in lieu of flowers to the family.
