Letcher, Cathy E.

SAVANNA, Ill. — Cathy E. Letcher, age 58, of Albany, Illinois, formerly of Savanna, Illinois, died Thursday, November 22, 2007 at Big Meadows Nursing Facility, Savanna. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 26, 2007 at the Law-Jones Funeral Home in Savanna. Burial will be in Spring lake Cemetery, Savanna. A visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 25, 2007 at the Law-Jones Funeral Home, Savanna. A memorial fund has been established in Cathy’s memory. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.lawjonesfuneralhome.com. Cathy was born on January 24, 1949 in Savanna, Illinois the daughter of Charles S. and Margaret M. (Hartman) Davenport. Cathy graduated from Savanna High School with the Class of 1968. On July 31, 1971, Cathy married James V. Letcher in Savanna. Cathy was employed by the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Washington D.C., and the Eaton Corporation in Savanna. She was most recently employed as a Seamstress at Facemakers Incorporated in Savanna for fifteen years. Cathy was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints for over forty years. Cathy was a Primary Teacher for the church and was very active in her church. Cathy enjoyed bowling, crafts, sewing, and reading. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family. Cathy will be dearly missed by her husband, James; one son Jeremy (Adriann) Letcher of Clinton, Iowa; three daughters, Rebecca (Tony) Simmons of Albany, Illinois, Jenny (Timothy) Blaine of Savanna, Illinois and Amy Letcher of Albany; ten grandchildren, three brothers, Richard (Jean) Davenport of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, David (Debbie) Davenport of Savanna, and Jim (Sue) Davenport of Endeavor, Wisconsin; one sister, Lynne Ellithorpe of Savanna; and several nieces and nephews. Cathy was preceded in death by both parents and one brother, Charles Davenport.
