CLINTON — Roy Gibson, 84, of Clinton, passed away Tuesday, November 20, 2007, at his home. Services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at the Lemke Funeral Home, South Chapel. Visitation will be Friday from 11 a.m. until time of service. Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family. Roy was born on April 22, 1923, in Four Mile, KY., the son of Mike Duncan and Nellie (Collins) Gibson. He married Ella May Miracle on October 9, 1941, in Pineville, KY. She preceded him in death on October 3, 2000. Roy had been employed at the Clinton County Courthouse as a night watchman and maintenance man. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Surviving are his daughter, Mildred Drury; sons, Billy H. and Gary L. Gibson, all of Clinton; 8 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; a brother, Robert Gibson of Ohio; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sons, a daughter, one granddaughter, 10 sisters and 2 brothers. Death date: Nov. 20, 2007
