The Clinton Herald Thursday January 5, 1905 p. 3 Yesterday afternoon at her father's home on First avenue, Mrs. H.G. Shaw, formerly Lavina Judd of this city, died after a short illness of but five weeks. It could hardly be called an illness for the young woman who was but thirty-three years of age, died from the shock caused by the death of her husband, who was shot and killed in Beaumont, Texas, less than two months ago. The circumstance of her husband's death was more than she could stand and her health failed steadily from that time. Coming back to her old home, she at last obtained quite forgetfulness in the sleep of death. Mrs. Shaw is survived by six children, the oldest of whom is but thirteen years of age. She is also survived by her father, brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held at St. John's Episcopal church Friday afternoon at half past two o'clock. The will be conducted by the Rev. Allen Judd.
