The Clinton Herald Wednesday March 5, 1947 p. 9 Goose Lake - Mrs. Lena Claussen, 80, died at 4:50 p.m. Tuesday in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Alfred Bielenberg, Charlotte. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday int he Goose Lake home, the Rev. A.G. Landhold of St. John's Lutheran church in Preston, officiating. Burial will be in Center Grove cemetery. The body will be in the Pape funeral home, Clinton, until Thursday afternoon when it will be taken to the Goose Lake residence. Lena Boken was born March 18, 1866, in Germany. She and Andrew Claussen of Goose Lake were wed Oct. 6, 1892. She was baptized in the Lutheran faith. Surviving are two daughters, Miss Georgianna Claussen of Clinton and Mrs. Bielenberg; a son, Arthur of Goose Lake; a sister, Mrs. A.S. Schmidt of Preston, and three grandchildren. Preceding her were the parents, husband, a son, a brother and two sisters.
