The Clinton Herald Tuesday September 10, 1929 p. 5 Herman Huebner, 515 North Fifth street, died at 10 o'clock this morning at home following an illness of long duration. Funeral services will be held at the home and also at the Zion Lutheran church on Thursday afternoon. Burial will be in Springdale cemetery. The deceased was born on June 29, 1853 in Germany, where he attended school and was married. Mr. and Mrs. Huebner came to Clinton from Germany in 1885 and have lived here since that time. He had been janitor at the Zion Lutheran school for several years. He is survived by his wife, three sons, Emil of DeWitt, Max and Otto, both at home, two daughters, Mrs. Al Dastos of Chicago, and Mrs. August Hanson of Clinton. A brother Filbert Huebner and two sisters, Mrs. Winters and Mrs. Winkle all of this city, also survive.
