The Clinton Herald Tuesday November 15, 1941 p. 5 Mrs. Christine Marie Raun, 907 North Second street, died at 2:35 p.m. Monday in home after a brief illness. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the family home, the Rev. C.V. Tambert, pastor of St. Paul's English Lutheran church, officiating. Burial will be in Oakland cemetery. The body will repose in the family home from Wednesday until the funeral hour. Christine Marine Sorensen, daughter of Soren and Anna Sorensen, was born in Schleswig, Germany. She came to the United States as a young woman and a year after her arrival here married Peter H. Raun. The home has been made in Clinton since. Surviving are one son, Peter H. Raun, Frederick, Md.; five daughters, the Misses Ingeborg, Marie and Hansine Raun, and Mrs. S.H. Hammill, all of Clinton and Mrs. Herbert Micheel, Davenport; a brother, Jens P. Sorensen, Chicago, and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death in 1914 by her husband; by a daughter, Catherine, who died in 1938; a son who died during the World war while in the United States army; by two daughters, who died in infancy and by her parents and a brother, Christian Sorensen.
