Lange, Meta W.

CLINTON — Meta W. Lange, age 89, of rural Clinton, died Tuesday, November 13, 2007, at the Bluff Terrace Nursing Home in Clinton. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, November 16th at St. John Lutheran Church in Clinton. The Rev. Wayne Brinkmann will officiate. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the Pape Funeral Home and from 1:30 p.m. until the service time Friday at the church. Burial will be in Teeds Grove Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Sam Krajnovich, Edward Kleinschmidt, Phillip Dame, Scott Lange, Adam Lange, Nathan Dunnegan, Zachary Lange and Miguel Ayala. Meta was born on April 7, 1918, in Charlotte, Iowa, the daughter of Andrew and Wilhelmina Wenzel Scheer. Meta married Irvin Lange on April 17, 1949, at St. John Lutheran Church in Clinton. Irvin died in 1997. Meta was a homemaker. She custom hatched poultry eggs for many years. Meta was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, the Ladies Aid Society at St. John and the prayer chain. Meta is survived by two sons, Irvin W. Lange and Calvin A. Lange both of Clinton; three daughters, Virginia (Larry) Kleinschmidt of Goose Lake, Clarice (Dennis) Dunnegan of DeKalb, IL, and Annette Pagan of Franklin, New Jersey; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a grandson. Memorials may be made to the Lutheran Bible Translators. Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com.
