LYNNWOOD, Wash. — Claire Peter Heun, 77, died peacefully in the woods while hunting on November 8, 2007. Our beloved father was found leaning against a tree with rays of the sun beaming down on him. He was born October 31, 1930, in the township of Newton, Illinois. He married Nancy Ottens in 1952. During his lifetime he was very active in the church as both elder and teacher. He had a great passion for the outdoors and went on frequent camping trips with the family.He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Nancy Jo Heun; daughters, Marilynn J. (Don) Clayton, Christine (Russ) Brandt and Lisa Jo (Jeff) Thiessen; grandchildren Devin, Andrea, Sarah, Nolan, Chantal and Shae; and great-grandson, Tatum Edwards; sisters, Adalene Norman and Ruby Sigleton; and brother, John Heun.A celebration of his life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, November 15, 2007, in Beck’s Garden Chapel, 405 5th Ave. S, Edmonds (425) 771-1234.Donations may be given to Habitat for Humanity of Snohomish County, 3201 Broadway, Ste D, Everett, WA 98201.Death date: Nov. 8, 2007
