CHANDLER, Ariz. — William “Bill” Charles Cornish, 81, of Chandler, AZ, died Nov. 7, 2007. He was born in Clinton, IA, on January 12, 1926, to William Frederick Cornish and Margaret Catherine (Blount) Cornish. On March 30, 1947, he married his high school sweetheart, Doris Ann Covert and they farmed in the Camanche, IA, area. Bill was active in the Camanche Jaycees and the Camanche School Board. He received the Clinton County Successful Farmer Award. Bill and Doris retired from farming and moved into Camanche and relocated to Chandler in 1982. Bill was preceded in death by his father, mother, sister, Edna, and son, Mark. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Doris; sons, Gary (Buffy) of Bennet, NE, and Charles (Nancy) of Cedar Falls, IA; daughter, Karilyn (Bruce) Floyd of Prairie du Chien, WI, and Laurie (Lauren) Van Roekel of Laurel, MT; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a brother, John (Sandy) of Florida. Private family services were held. Arrangements by Bueler Mortuary.Death date: Nov. 7, 2007
