CLINTON — Memorial services for Mary Ann Milder, 66, of Clinton, will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Christ Episcopal Church, 2100 N. 2nd St., Clinton. Inurnment will follow at Springdale Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Clinton Humane Society.

Mary Ann passed away on Thursday, November 1, 2007, at the University Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City, Iowa. Lemke Funeral Home, Lyons Chapel, is assisting with arrangements.

She was born on March 29, 1941, in Clinton, the daughter of Leopold and Elsie (Stoudt) Milder. She graduated from Clinton High School in 1959 and when on to receive her AA degree from Mount St. Clare College, her BA in English from Coe College, and her MA degree in education from Northern Illinois. For 39 years Mary Ann taught school, first in Marion, Iowa, then Erie, Illinois and retiring from the Clinton School District. She was named in Who’s Who in Education. Mary Ann was a member of the Mercy Hospital Auxiliary and enjoyed delivering library books to the elderly.

She is survived by her sister, Loretta Weller of Napoleonville, Louisiana; a cousin, Bea Whalen of Clinton, along with several other cousins, aunts, and uncles and a host of friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and an aunt Martha.
