Lorenzen, Edna A.

Edna A. Lorenzen, age 92 of Clinton, died Saturday Oct. 13, 2007 at the Harmony House in Clinton. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday 1:30 PM at the Ascension Lutheran Church in Goose Lake. Visitation will be Tuesday Noon until the service hour at the church. The Pape Funeral Home is assisting the family. Burial will be at Center Grove Cemetery near Bryant. Casket bearers will be Jeff and Joel Howe, Jerry Thompson, Mark Burkett, Tom Stott, Jim Kroymann, and Roy Naeve.

Edna was born on April 26, 1915 in Clinton County, IA, the daughter of Albert and Mathilda (Schwartz) Naeve. She graduated from Elvira High School in 1933. She married Harold Lorenzen on Sept. 28, 1935 in Clinton. Edna and her husband farmed near Goose Lake and she worked at the Clinton Community Care Center in Charlotte, retiring in 1975. She was a member of the Ascension Lutheran Church. She was a volunteer at Mercy Medical Center and enjoyed playing cards.

Edna is survived by several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, and a sister.

Memorials may be made to the church.
